I really don't like "Top 10 or 100 or whatever lists," mainly because they're so subjective. But it would be difficult for any Dead fan objectively listening to this Dew not to put it on the Top 10 of all time. For me personally, it's No. 3 (Cow Palace '74 and Cornell, in case you're wondering.) This Dew is electric, mainly for two reasons -- one is Jerry's energy and emotion-packed voice, and two, the two leads, especially the final one. Ridiculous. I was at the Garden that night and anyone who listens to this aud can tell that even in the moment 25 years ago, everyone in the audience knew this night was special.

had just turned 17 when some friends and i went to see the dead.. couldnt believe the actual show is on here.. its great to see it was recorded.. was one of the best concerts ever.. tripping and listening to the dead.. what a memory.. thx

Jerry seemed to have the perfect balance of being up 'n' down in these times.... if you know what I mean!;)... Dew and Labamba... whoa baby!!

7th row and 17 bouncin around the booming hallways during watchtower. a Jerry riff during gdthrb hit like a tidalwave.spaciest birdsong i've heard.women are smarter even rocked.speakin of women remember Pittsburg 87 and Neville bros kept sayin (women are f**d up)funny.
the original screaming Jerry Dew we got real quiet. still nothing better than Jerry and killer drums. Be kind and have pride that is perserverence, responsibility, integrity, determination and excitement.

East coast fall tour '87 saw the Dead at the height of their commercial popularity in the wake of the success of In The Dark. The tour scene had really exploded and these were very fun times. I did not see these shows, but saw all three Cap Centres (9/11-9/13) the previous weekend and those were a lot of fun. I know the MSGs were crazy, and this show may have been the best one. It's an excellent example of late 80s dead. Tune of the show: Dew!!

La Bamba was the giveaway. Something about Shakedown in NYC. The way we took over MSG and the surrounding environs- the massive stairway of the post office across the street top to bottom in 'heads. dems wuz da dayz.

Of a well-executed show.
